We Have Always Been a Small, Family‑Owned and Operated Business
In 1985 Security Cheques began with a bold challenge. We chose a rainbow logo precisely because it was the hardest image to reproduce on a one‑colour offset press. Consequently, it demanded true mastery of registration and colour density. That commitment to quality set the standard as our founder, John Obermeier, handled everything from design to printing. While his son, our current owner, Grant Obermeier, went out personally to sell cards and forms. Over time, early success motivated us to move homeward, with regular journeys to Saint John for supplies, and this pattern eventually inspired a permanent relocation to Sussex, which is centrally placed for serving Atlantic Canada.

As we grew, Sussex became our headquarters and hosts our main plant for security printing. In addition, like many modern businesses, we added digital satellite offices in Fredericton, NB, Moncton, NB, Saint John, NB and Charlottetown, PEI to adapt through changing times, especially after the pandemic. Meanwhile, our focus on quality and our deep investment in research propelled us into the advanced world of security printing for cheques, prescription pads, bus passes, transcripts, coupons, and much more.
